The idea was simple but compelling. Bring high-quality frozen foods that we didn’t have in Cyprus to shelves, tables and kitchens throughout the island, and bring them at reasonable prices.
It was a simple idea, but took a lot of hard work. This was Cyprus in 1958, just before national independence. We started importing frozen foods from New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. Our local clientele grew steadily. With that growth, we redefined our product range, which eventually expanded to include many premium imported and private label food products sold by our local supermarkets, convenience stores, hotels, restaurants, and cafeterias.
Over time, we’ve also learned that our clients come to us for more than just quality food products. They come to us for our professional handling and distribution expertise and our dedicated, in-house team of merchandisers. They depend, above all else, on the personal customer care we pride ourselves on.
Today, the Cheeseline team is 60 full-time importing and distribution specialists dedicated to continuing the work we began in 1958. While we’ve changed our scope and numbers over time, our mission has remained the same: to bring high quality food products to local kitchens, tables and shelves at affordable prices, and to make sure that our partners enjoy the best distribution and customer care experience on the market.
